A PAN (Permanent Account Number) card is an important document which is used in financial dealings and banking. It is also included in your KYC for insurance and investment sectors. It is a 10-digit alphanumeric number that serves as your identity within the Income Tax Department of India. You can get your own PAN card by applying for it on the UTIITSL (UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited).

UTIITSL PAN Card Structure
The Permanent Account Number or the PAN Card is allotted to every individual. There are a few permanent details of the individual that are printed on the card. The details that are listed on the PAN card are given below.
- Permanent Account Number

- Father’s name of the PAN cardholder
- DOB (Date of Birth) of the cardholder
- Photograph of the cardholder

Types of UTIITSL PAN Card
The Income Tax Department has made it mandatory for all taxpaying individuals to have a PAN card. Therefore, a PAN card is issued to all individuals, companies or other entities.
- For Individuals
The PAN card issued by the Income Tax Department helps them to calculate the total tax amount based on various financial transactions done by the taxpayer in a given year.
- For Companies
When it comes to organisations, the PAN card has the company’s registration date without any photographs.
- For Foreign Nationals

Types of Forms available for UTIITSL PAN Card
There are 2 types of forms when applying for a PAN card. They are:
1. Form 49A
- Indian residents or NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) who are looking to apply for a PAN card must fill out Form 49A.
- Organisations such as companies, firms, NGOs (Non-Profit Organisations), local bodies, trusts, etc., can also apply for a PAN card using this form.
- Minors or students can also use Form 49A to apply for a PAN card.
2. Form 49AA
- Foreign nationals who are working in India and paying taxes must have a PAN card. They can fill out Form 49AA to apply for a PAN card.
- OCI individuals are also required to fill out this form if they are applying for a PAN card.
- Companies and organisations that are registered outside India are required to fill out Form 49AA if they want to apply for a PAN card.
- Individuals applying for a PAN card using Form 49AA must provide copies of their passport, OCI and PIO cards, in addition to a valid bank statement from their country of residence. These documents will be considered valid for identifying and proving the candidate’s address.

UTI PAN Card Apply Online (Steps)
Follow the steps given below to apply for a UTI PAN card.
- Access the official UTIITSL website.
- Select the “Click to Apply” option under “PAN card as an Indian Citizen”.
- After getting redirected to a new page, select the “Apply for a new PAN card” option. Choose the mode of PAN card, i.e. either the physical or the digital mode.
- Choose the status of the application. (such as LLP, HUF, etc.)
- Select the PAN card mode (if you need both the physical and e-PAN card). Click on the “Submit” button.
- A reference number will be generated that you can use as future reference for tracking purposes until the application number is generated.
- Click on the “OK” button to proceed. Enter all your personal details (such as your full name, date of birth, gender, address, communication, etc.)
- Provide all the details of your Aadhaar card (Aadhaar number or enrollment ID). After entering the Aadhaar number, you are required to re-enter it for verification purposes.
- Select the “Next Step” option. Enter the documents such as your identity proof, address proof and proof of Date of Birth.
- Enter your contact details (telephone number, area/STD code and ISD code) and your email address.
- Provide the details of your parents (father’s and mother’s names), then click on the “Next Step” button.
- You must also enter your address, source of income and other details such as AO code, AO type, AO number and Range Code along with the address of the representative assessee.
- Upload all the documents, then select the “Validate” button, followed by the “Submit” button once the application is filled out.
- Select the “Make Payment” button. Pay the applicable fees through netbanking, debit or credit card, UPI, etc.
- After payment, click on the “Save” button and take a printout of it.
- Attach the copies of the supporting documents and affix 2 photographs, each of size 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm.
You will receive a 15-digit acknowledgement number to track the status of your UTI PAN card application. You will get the PAN card within 15 working days from the date of application.
Steps to apply for UTIITSL PAN Card Offline

- Firstly, download the PAN application form from any official website. You may also choose to collect a copy of the same from nearby authorised UTIITSL agents.
- Make sure you follow all the instructions carefully. Fill out the form with all the necessary details (such as your full name, address, date of birth, gender, and contact number) and other relevant details.
- After filling out the form, you must submit the application form to the nearest UTIITSL office and pay the applicable fees.

- To dispatch the PAN card to your address, a fee of Rs. 107 (approx.) must be paid. For dispatch outside of India, you need to pay Rs. 1017 while you only need to pay Rs. 72 for an e-PAN card.

Follow the steps given below to track your UTI PAN application status.
Through the UTI website
- Access the official UTIITSL website.
- Click on the “Track your PAN card” option.
- Enter your application number and your Date of Birth (DOB). Click on the “Search” option.
- The status of your PAN application will be displayed on your screen.
Through SMS
- Type the following message: “UTIITSLPAN ” and send to the contact number “57575”.
Through Whatsapp
- Open WhatsApp on your device and send “Hi” to “8096078080”.
- You will receive a message asking for your consent to receive emails and SMS from the concerned authorities. Select “Yes”.
- Click on the “Services” option and select “Status of Application” from the list.
- Select the “PAN application ” option. Enter your 15-digit acknowledgement number.
- You will then receive the status of your PAN application.
Through the Acknowledgement Number
- Access the official UTIITSL website.
- Go to the “PAN Card services” menu and click on “Track your PAN card”.
- Enter your 15-digit acknowledgement number.
- Input your date of birth and fill in the captcha code.
- Select the “Search” option.
- The status of your PAN application will be displayed on your screen.
